Merry Christmas

Another year is coming to an end, and even though the pre-Christmas time is one of the most stressful time of the year (at least for me) there is something magical about it. All the decorations, the lights, the gift shopping; everything brings a joyful mood with it.

Since I have a rather big family compared to other Swiss families, we celebrate Christmas with around 30 people every year. Can you imagine all the planning and organizing it takes to fit all these people in one room? Before the actual feast it’s stressful, but as soon as we all sit down to eat, its pure joy. All the happy faces, the beautiful decoration, and the delicious food are worth all the hustle.

The matching color of this season is red, that’s why I chose to shoot this beautiful fire red dress in the iconic The Dolder Grand Hotel. This hotel has so much class and style, it is just perfect for a Christmas Shoot.

I have been to the Dolder Grand a couple of times now, and I have to say, the hidden gem is definitely a must see on your bucket list if you visit Zurich. It has all the charm and luxe you need to indulge in while you stay at the hotel. Even if it is just for an afternoon tea or a nice and quiet dinner with your loved one, a visit to the Spa or like me just twirl through the magical halls, this hotel definitely has it all.

As you might have seen on my Instagram, the oh so talented Aline did my Makeup and also shot all the pictures (stay tuned for more), as she didHalloween Shoot a couple of weeks ago. This time we went with a classic red lip, combined the glamorous look with a winged black eyeliner and topped it with a gold metallic eyeliner. This look is so simple yet iconic that it will definitely steal the show at every Christmas Dinner tonight.

Products we used (see Post for more details):

M.A.C Brushstroke Liner

M.A.C Retro Matte Metallics in Love Weapon

M.A.C Pigment in Gold Metal mixed with Mixing Medium Eyeliner

Now I wish you all a joyful and relaxing Christmas Day. May your day be filled with joy, harmony and happiness.

Merry Christmas, xx Sophie
