Ready to face your fears?

Since Halloween is right around the corner, I thought I would do something I have never done before here on Halloween is not a very common holiday in Switzerland, but ever since we were little girls, my sister and I would dress up and go Trick or Treating. Up to this day, I love to dress up for any occasion so I thought I would start a new series of makeup looks for any special occasion here on this channel. So stay tuned for more Make-up looks to come!

My very talented friend, Aline not only made the Make-up magic happen but also took these stunning pictures. Let’s stay realistic here, you do need a ton of products and you definitely need to be a little bit bolder with your color choices, but at the end of the day that’s what it’s all about on Halloween don’t you think? I am very into these “Dia de los muertos” looks lately, so we created a look which would be very good for either celebration, since both are happening next week (Dia de los Muertos is on November 2 and Halloween on October 31). I did style it up with a little twist of matching the Make-up look with a rather chic outfit but then again pair the look with a pair of biker boots. I am all into this mix and matching of styles at the moment.

Now back to the Make-up itself. We started off with “removing” my eyebrows to create the look on the right eye with the rhinestone circle. With the left eye we stayed rather traditional with a winged liner look and incorporating the red tones we used throughout the whole look. For the skin base tone, we used the lightest foundation we could possibly find in this market (did not know there were shades this light). We used the same three red tones blending them on my right eye as well as part of the contouring. Topping off the look with a simple yet very bold red lip gave it that extra kick. The whole look took us roughly 3h from start to finish considering we worked together for the very first time (to many more collaborations!) and that we actually planned this whole thing two days in advance.
